Lorca City Council collaborates with D’Genes in the commemoration of Rare Disease Day

On February 26, the D’Genes 2023 Awards will be delivered during the traditional annual meal, and the program will culminate on March 1 with the sale of solidarity items and tickets to participate in the raffle for a painting by the painter Manuel Coronado.

The Councilor for NGOs of the City of Lorca, María Dolores Chumillas, has presented the schedule of activities to commemorate the Day of Rare Diseases.

Chumillas explained that “next Tuesday, February 28, marks the Day of Rare Diseases and to work on its visibility and social awareness, the D’Genes Association has organized a program of activities that will begin on February 25 and will end on March 1.

The mayor has detailed that “on Saturday, February 25, at 12:00 p.m., the Association will develop a visibility action in the Spanish Adapted Archery Championship that is held at the Felipe VI Sports Complex.”

Chumillas Martínez has indicated that “on February 26, at 2:00 p.m., there will be a meal to commemorate the World Day for Rare Diseases, where the D’Genes 2023 Awards will also be delivered, at the Venta La Rata de Totana Restaurant “.

“On the 27th, at 6:00 p.m., the book ‘The invisible golden thread’ will be presented in the assembly hall of the Lorca University Campus and on February 28, at 7:00 p.m., the façade of the Lorca City Council and a manifesto will be read in the Alameda de La Constitución”.

The Oenegés councilor has specified that “the programming will culminate on Wednesday, March 1, with the installation of an information booth in ‘Las Columnas’ to proceed with the sale of solidarity items and ballots to participate in the raffle for a painting by the painter Manuel Coronado”.

María Dolores Chumillas has revealed that “from the Lorca City Council we continue to work hand in hand with the associations and NGOs of our municipality, supporting them in the commendable work they do, covering all those needs where the administrations cannot reach and D’ Genes, like the rest of the associations, will find in this government team all the support they need to carry out their excellent work”.
