Lionel Scaloni is ready to accept a new challenge in his short and successful coaching career. After winning the Copa América, the Finalissima and the FIFA World Cup with the Argentine team, the coach has already arranged everything to set new goals.
After some conversations, Scaloni reached an agreement with Claudio ‘Chiqui’ Tapia, president of the AFA and agreed to renew it with the Argentine national team until the 2026 World Cup, which will take place in the United States, Mexico and Canada.
Scaloni will have the tough challenge of defending the Qatar 2022 World Cup title, strengthening the squad and the process, promoting young players and trying to convince Lionel Messi to continue in the Argentine team.
The coach will have improvements in his salary and in the conditions of his work team.
