LeBron officially the GOAT? The update that will make Jordan angry!

By seizing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s legendary points record, LeBron James has put the GOAT debate back on the table more than ever. His feat even caused the launch of a vast survey, the results of which may displease Michael Jordan!

The worst is that he obviously has no intention of stopping after this madness. New all-time record holder for total points scored in the regular season, LeBron James thus added a new prestigious line to his CV. Already sufficiently stocked, the latter should continue to expand in the months and years to come, since its owner apparently intends to continue his career for a long time.

At 38, the King would however have enough to be satisfied with his current record, which undoubtedly makes him one of the very best players in NBA history. Some observers did not wait for his retirement to give him the iconic status of GOAT. A dubbing which is however debated, since a certain Michael Jordan shouldn’t be so easy.

LeBron now ahead of Jordan in the all-time hierarchy?

Perceived as the greatest player of all time for decades, MJ would live quite badly the loss of his throne. Some of its recent decisions support this theory anyway.. Unfortunately for him, it seems that his competitor’s latest feat has hurt him. The proof, with this card relayed by The Scorewhich makes LeBron the GOAT after studying more than 200,000 tweets on the subject:

With 29 conquered states, LBJ largely dominates Jordan and its 21 states on this geographical representation. The latter nevertheless reveals some flaws, since it only takes into account the American territory, and Twittos who have recently expressed themselves on this famous discussion. Suffice to say that a good part of the fans were not taken into account, and that they could alter these results.

The trend still seems to lean in favor of the leader of the Lakers, who has really made an impression by recently becoming the best all-time scorer. Mike, he can always be satisfied to maintain the ascendancy in his strongholds of Illinois and North Carolina. Likewise, it should keep the advantage for a long time to come in Massachusetts, where the rating of its great rival will struggle to grow in the future!

The historic showdown between Michael Jordan and LeBron James has never seemed so contested, as evidenced by this consultation on the GOAT debate. Not sure, however, that the older generation, rocked by the exploits of Jordan, is sufficiently represented there!
