Latte, bad luck and tears: Dramatic Lautern bankruptcy in Paderborn | Sports

Next away bankruptcy for Lautern. After the 0:1 at St. Pauli there was again a 0:1 in the chasing duel in Paderborn. Previously, the second division team was unbeaten in nine games on a foreign pitch.

Coach Dirk Schuster (55) changed his starting XI to five positions.

Double bad luck: First Heuer striker Boyd just straddles the 1-0 (37th). Then Boyd hits the bar (68th).

Kaiserslautern is good at the back. Robin Bormuth, who is on loan from Paderborn, cleans up and plays well. Louder doesn’t allow much.

The 0: 1 catch the Palatinate anyway.

77 minutes: Zimmer is late against Conteh. Jannis Heuer shoots the free kick from 17 meters from the left into the short corner – 1:0 for Paderborn.

From just a meter! Boyd, how can you NOT do that?

But Lautern never gives up. After falling behind, coach Schuster’s players had already scored 15 points.

Lautern changes, wants the turnaround.

Striker Lex-Tyger Lobinger (23), the son of pole vaulter Tim Lobinger, is there after the death of his father, but he’s not in the squad and keeps his fingers crossed in the stands.

Schuster does not want to lose, whips his players forward.

90+2 Minute: Lauten’s goalkeeper Andreas Luthe has long been at the front. He wants to use his 1.95 meters. Defender Kevin Kraus isn’t going back either.

The ball comes in, Boyd and Hercher head on goal together. But Paderborn striker Felix Platte, who scored the 1-0 winner in the first leg, knocked the ball out on the line.

Lautern is beaten and falls back to fifth place. Paderborn is over in third place.

Terrence Boyd on Sky: “The last scene with Tyger standing in front of the stands brought tears to my eyes. It’s nice to see how football unites.”
