Spain will be the epicenter of the World Triathlon by hosting the Multisport World Cup in Ibiza in 2023, the European Championship in Madrid and the Grand Final of the World Series in Pontevedra.
The Spanish Triathlon Federation will help its athletes by subsidizing up to 50% of their registrations for these three major events, strengthening its commitment to the Age Groups
It had never happened before to date. 2023 will be a historic year for Spanish triathlon and it is that our country will become the first country to host the three major world triathlon events in the same year: the Ibiza 2023 Multisport World Championship, which will be held on the island of 29 from April to May 7, the European Championship in Madrid, from June 2 to 4, and as a climax and for the first time in Spain, the Grand Final of the World Series in Pontevedra from September 20 to 24, in which we will be able to see the best triathletes on the planet.
With this scenario, it is clear that the Spanish Triathlon Federation is firmly committed to bringing the best events to our country. There are many reasons why this bet is being carried out, but one of the main ones is to bring the best triathlon in the world closer to its popular athletes, that is, to the Age Groups, and it is also a double approach since it is accompanied by a subsidy of up to 50% for the registrations of these Age Groups for the three major events: the Multisport World Cup in Ibiza, the European Championship in Madrid and the Grand Final of the World Series in Pontevedra.
“Fetri’s commitment to its Age Groups is once again evident with this measure that we have agreed with the three organizing committees of Ibiza, Madrid and Pontevedra,” said José Hidalgo, president of the Spanish Triathlon Federation.
Hidalgo also stressed: “Spain is a country that is committed to bringing the best events, among other reasons, to bring the best triathlon closer to our age groups. What makes it doubly valuable is that we have managed, from the Federation, to subsidize 50% of the registrations of our athletes. The strategy is clear. Bring the best triathlon in the world to our country and also help our age groups with the cost of participation”.
The registrations for the Ibiza Multisport World Championship and for him Madrid European Championship are open, and the subsidy is already included automatically in the registration form and soon those of the Grand Final of the Pontevedra World Series will also open.
