Jorge Garbajosa: “This title consolidates Lenovo Tenerife in the elite of world basketball”

The President of the FEB, Jorge Garbajosa, has accompanied Lenovo Tenerife today in the conquest of its third Intercontinental title, thus transferring to the team the congratulations of all Spanish basketball both for the organization of the event and for the title conquered.
“I want to congratulate Lenovo Tenerife for the victory in this third Intercontinental Cup that consolidates them, definitively, in the elite of world basketball. This title confirms the strength of a project that is growing and makes us feel proud as a Federation and as Spaniards. In the same way that I have felt proud of the commitment of the Canary Islands and Tenerife institutions in the organization of this Final, once again bordering on a height that very few countries can achieve.
I also want to thank FIBA for continuing to trust Spain to organize this type of sporting event, because it confirms two things: our solvency as a venue for high-level events, and that our teams almost always play them, which, at the same time It is recognition of the very high sporting level of our clubs”.
