Another of the youngsters that Atlético Nacional has and who has shown great quality at the start of the season is John Elmer Solis.

The soccer player, born in Guacarí, Valle del Cauca, and namesake of his father, is moved by love for his mother Sandra Milena and his two sisters, Angie and Paola.

For this reason, he found in football the perfect setting to show his skills and get ahead.

Thanks to his father, who taught him the love for this sport and put him to play for Racing de Guacarí, Jhon showed all his talent and thus, in one of the tournaments, he was observed by Atlético Nacional, a club that immediately took hold of him and gave him an opportunity.

In the green team he coincided in the youth categories with the coach Alejandro Restrepo, who was in charge of putting him to debut as a professional. “Alejandro taught me many things that I didn’t know and that helped me a lot to grow as a player”, he says gratefully.

This semester the coach Paulo Autuori has had him in account in 6 games and he had already played 8 in 2022, despite his young age (18 years). In the Colombian Under 15 National Team he played as midfielder 10, but the Brazilian coach has made him start from the first line of midfielders and has impressed with his quality. “I love that position, because from the order that I have to give to the team I also have the freedom to support the attack.”

Since he arrived at Nacional, he has lived in a club apartment in Envigado with three other teammates. Today, thanks to the opportunities with the professional team of the green, he already dreams of buying a house for his parents and consolidate in National to achieve all your dreams. For now, Jhon Élmer is on the right track
