In a match full of goals, Yupanqui was left empty-handed

In an afternoon full of celebrations and with a suffocating sun, Yupanqui was close to coming back from a match that seemed to have been settled in the first half in favor of Claypole, for the 2nd date of the First C Opening Tournament. Those led by Adrián Tossi also made their debut at Sportivo Italiano’s “República d’Italia” stadium, where they will play at home throughout the season.

The game started without fear. After three minutes, Yupa had a set piece to open the scoring, but Antonio Paulides’ weak cue shot inside the small area made it easier for goalkeeper Libares to take the ball safely. In the continuation of the play, the Tambero started a counterattack that left Llodrá face to face against Mono Martínez, who defused the danger with a great response with his feet.

Those of the South were the ones who imposed the conditions at the dawn of the meeting. Before ten minutes, Jesús Díaz’s team sent a cross in the direction of Cariaga. Upon entering the rival area, the midfielder was knocked down by Elián Cáceres and the referee did not hesitate to charge a penalty. The captain, Emanuel Díaz, was in charge of changing it for a goal and thus decreeing 1-0.

Arriving at the first half hour of the game, the visit made a great collective play that ended in the 2-0. Cariaga moved the ball towards Llodrá so that he could hold it from behind and could unload it with Monzón. The midfielder returned the round to number 9 so that he could define in solitude before the gaze of the Trapper defense.

At 37, Yupa received another blow again. Claypole fired a free kick into the box, but it ended up opening up to the right side. Llodrá took the ball down the wing and saw Cariaga unmarked at the top of the area. Number 7 shot and made it 3-0 after a great shot.

At the end of the first stage, the first joy came for the Trapero in the contest. Chazarreta finished a wall that he built with Paulides and hung the ball in the upper corner for 1-3.

At the start of the second half, Tossi decided to send Santiago Guzmán onto the field, who would later end up being key to the soccer rally. Yupa came out determined to discount again. The goal in the epilogue of the first stage gave him a special plus for him to be the owner of the development of the final stage.

After a defensive inattention by Tambero at minute 17, Guzmán took advantage of the gift left by the defenders and scored a great goal to make the final 3-2. Five minutes later there was another penalty for the visit, this time committed by goalkeeper Martínez. However, captain Díaz missed it and ended up crashing his shot off the crossbar. In the remaining time, the Trapero remained within a shot of the tie, but could not beat the goal defended by Libares.

In this way, Yupanqui added his second defeat so far in the tournament and is positioned in the last position, like Excursionistas and Berazategui. On the next day, those from Ciudad Evita must visit Midland, this Sunday, at 7:00 p.m., at the “Ciudad de Libertad” stadium.
