Goalkeeper Domažlic died at only 33 years old. Limberský is also trying to help his family

Shocking news saddened Czech football last week. Adam Bratanič, the goalkeeper of the third division Jiskry Domažlica, died at the age of just 33. The young football player succumbed to health complications associated with pneumonia and subsequent bleeding in the brain. His teammate David Limberský is now trying to help his family.

“Unfortunately, Adam lost his short, difficult battle. I was in contact with the doctors, they deployed all available means and forces, but unfortunately, after severe pneumonia, bleeding in the brain was added, and Adam lost this battle,” Jiskry Jaroslav, the chairman of the Sparks, told the Isport.cz server Quiet guy.

According to him, the tragedy is also exacerbated by the fact that the goalkeeper is due to have another child in a few weeks. “Adam left behind a three-year-old son and a girlfriend eight months pregnant. We thank everyone who joins this support option,” the Domažlica club announced on its Facebook profile.

At the same time, he also published an account number to which fans can send financial support. “A contribution to the family of Adam Bratanič, goalkeeper of Jiskry Domažlice, who died at the age of 33, can be sent to account number 319611698/0300 under the variable symbol 22, message for the recipient – password: Adam.”

David Limberský, a former Czech representative and five-time Czech champion with Viktoria Plzeň, also decided to help the family of his teammate. He shared the club’s request for financial support on his Instagram. “Please, whoever can, let them help. Maybe even a smaller amount, thank you very much,” he wrote.
