Bad Homburg – The Seedammbad will open some previously closed areas from April 1st. From the beginning of April, the giant slide, the flow channel, the water cannons, the floor bubblers and the water mushroom are available to bathers again. The whirlpool, the Kneipp pool, the paddling pool and the 25-meter outdoor pool will remain closed, the administration said. The reason for the closures are measures to save energy. For this reason, the temperatures in swimming pools were throttled last year.
In many Hessian pools, swimmers still have to jump into the cooler water. In the last month of winter there is only a sporadic increase in water temperatures in sight. In Bad Homburg you are already one step further. “The temperatures will be increased again in a timely manner,” said the municipal utility about the Seedammbad, from 25 to 26 degrees. In the teaching pool and the 25-meter pool, the temperatures had each been reduced by one degree. Most bathers would understand this.
