French tennis player Sherazad Reix banned for four years for fixing six matches

On her Wikipedia page, it is indicated that she is “retired”. It may be a little more complicated than that. At 33, tennis player Shérazad Reix has been banned from her sport for a period of four years as announced by The International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA). The Frenchwoman was found guilty of having fixed six meetings and therefore of not having respected the anti-corruption program of tennis.

Sherazad Reix did not dispute the facts and will have to pay a fine of 30,000 dollars. She will therefore not be able to play, train or attend a tennis event from January 30, 2023 to January 29, 2027. She will then be 37 years old. Suffice to say that we will not see her again on a professional tennis court.

The ITIA is an independent organization created by the international governing bodies of tennis to promote, encourage, improve and protect the integrity of professional tennis throughout the world.

In her career, Sherazad Reix had reached her peak, the 204th world rank in the WTA singles ranking, on July 11, 2016. And the 219th world rank in doubles, reached on April 10, 2017. In all, she won seven singles titles and nine doubles titles on the ITF Tour during his career.
