Former Anderlecht attacker shows that he still has a nose for goals: “An old gentleman with the gear…” – Voetbalnieuws

In the winter of 2013 he arrived at Anderlecht. He could never really push through, but Samuel Armenteros shows that he still has a nose for goals.

One of Anderlecht’s winter transfers in 2013 was Swedish striker Samuel Armenteros. He played for Anderlecht until the winter of 2015, in which he was also loaned twice during that period. In total he would come to seven games for the team from Brussels in which he could score once and serve a teammate once.

He has been back on the Dutch fields since the winter of 2022 and plays for Heracles Almelo. There he showed on Friday evening in the match against Telstar that he has still lost his nose for goals.

In the 36th minute he came on and barely three minutes later his name was already on the scoreboard. “An old gentleman with the gear… No, that kind of speed wasn’t there, but it worked. He went in. It’s not an Armenteros show, winning is all that matters. And a very good striker, so,” he winked.

Heracles easily beat Telstar 7-0 and Armenteros had his part in this with a hat-trick. In the meantime, he has already scored 13 goals in the Dutch 2nd division.
