FC Bayern Munich: Lufthansa chaos slows return journey from Paris Sports

With the victory in their luggage, the FC Bayern Munich players stood their ground in Paris.

The flight chaos on Wednesday also caught the record champion! After the 1-0 win in the round of 16 first leg at Paris Saint-Germain, the team only got away with a significant delay – the reason here too: the IT breakdown at Lufthansawhich led to numerous flight cancellations.

The Bavarians were only able to take their seats in the charter plane with a considerable delay, according to BILD information, flight LH2571 took off around 75 minutes late. The departure was originally scheduled for 11:15 a.m.; the plane actually took off at 12:32 p.m. The plane landed in Munich at 1:37 p.m.

Since the morning, the computer systems at Lufthansa are no longer operational, among other things for boarding. All domestic German flights were initially canceled. Passengers were asked to transfer to the train. According to the company, construction work on a railway line in Frankfurt caused the problems.

Bundesliga table leader Bayern occurs on Saturday (3.30 p.m. on Sky and in the BILD live ticker) at feared opponents Borussia Mönchengladbach.
