Don’t Connect Neymar Playing Poker with Mbappe’s Talk

Jakarta

Coach Paris Saint Germain Christophe Galtier defend Neymar highlighted because of playing poker. Galtier also dismissed speculation about the drama between Neymar and Kylian Mbappe.

After PSG lost to Bayern Munich in the first leg of the last 16 of the Champions League, Mbappe warned his teammates to keep fit. He asked PSG players to “sleep and eat well”.

Meanwhile, Neymar is reported to be playing poker and spending £8,895 for fun the day after the loss to Bayern. In the photo circulating on social media, the Brazilian player can also be seen hanging out at a fast food restaurant.

Neymar was criticized for being unprofessional. Galtier quickly denied any connection between Mbappe’s comments and Neymar’s actions.

“You can’t, and I won’t, link Kylian’s statement, the words he said in the locker room, to a photo of Ney in a fast food restaurant,” Galtier said as reported by ESPN.

“I’ve spoken to Ney. I told him what I think. Ney has the right on his rest day – he likes poker – he has the right to play poker.”

“Then I said my opinion about the photos circulating. And that’s just between me and him. But I believe that there is no connection between Kylian’s statement and the photos circulating,” said Galtier.

After being defeated by Bayern, PSG will next face Lille in the continuation of Ligue 1, Saturday (18/2/2023). Les Parisiens are currently leading the Ligue 1 standings with 54 points, five points ahead of Marseille.
