Dominic Thiem wants to know again – and competes in doubles

Dominic Thiem gives one of his rarer appearances in doubles in Buenos Aires. His partner is his tour friend Diego Schwartzman, with whom he reached the final in 2019 at the same venue. It was one of three doubles finals so far, which he lost once with Dennis Novak (2016 in Kitzbühel) and again with Schwartzman (2019 in Madrid). He played his last doubles with Novak at the ATP Cup 2021, which has now been discontinued.

Thiem will face Cordoba winner Sebastian Baez and Facundo Bagnis with Schwartzman late Monday evening, making him the only non-Argentinian on the pitch.
