“The level is increasing, the technical work of the players is increasing, unfortunately we did not have outstanding Queretans, they continue to fight in the main draw, but it is a job from year to year and I hope that next year, we can have Queretanos that they are playing this tournament like last year when a man from Queretaro won it,” said the president of the Queretaro Tennis Association, Manuel Moreno.

Present at the award ceremony were the 2022 winner, Luciano Alcocer, who this year was promoted to the adult category and represented Mexico in the Davis Cup; The general director of INDEREQ, Edward Sánchez, was also present.

“Luciano Alcocer and Armando Sotelo were called up to the Davis Cup, so the idea now is that with this base of youth players representing Mexico, it is to continue contributing with players from Queretaro to national representatives. We have also placed players from Queretaro in the youth pre-world championships, so we want to give them continuity so that they can continue representing Mexico”, concluded Manuel Moreno.
