Christian Coleman wins 60m in New York against Noah Lyles

The American Christian Coleman won on Saturday over 60m in 6 sec 47 against Noah Lyles, who was the favorite, during the indoor meeting of the “Millrose Games” in New York.

On the Armory Track, Lyles was shown a red card for a false start. He was able to run, but his time was not counted.

Christian Coleman won ahead of Travis Williams and Noah Lyles’ brother Josephus, both in 6s 59.

He had already won in Manhattan last year in 6 sec 49, when he returned to competition after an 18-month suspension for an anti-doping rule violation. But after this auspicious return for the future, he had missed his Worlds in August 2022 (6th in 100m).
