Carballés falls in the second round of Buenos Aires

MADRID, 15 Feb. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Spanish tennis player Roberto Carballés said goodbye this Wednesday to the tournament in Buenos Aires, of the ATP 250 category and which is played on clay, when he fell (4-6, 6-1, 6-2) in the second round against the Argentine Tomás Martín Etcheverry .

Carballés, who had added his second victory in 2023 by beating his compatriot Albert Ramos in his debut in the Argentine capital, was surprised by an Etcheverry who turned the game around after losing the first set. The canary did not take advantage of the confidence to sign up an opening set that was fought and with great points.

With the income on his side, the Spaniard entered the second set badly and lost one serve after another, until a hopeless 5-0. The third act did not return the initial version of a Carballés either, who again gave up his serve twice and barely put up opposition to the final 6-2.
