New episode of the clash between the Rossoneri fans and the Turkish Nerazzurri (and former AC Milan player). But this time the midfielder didn’t hold back and responded publicly
The tug of war between Calhanoglu and the Milan ultras continues. A new episode staged in the derby on Sunday 5 February, won 1-0 by Inter thanks to a header from Lautaro Martinez. So after the success in the Italian Super Cup, in Riad on 18 January (3-0), the Turkish midfielder took another good revenge. In the 34th minute Calhanoglu approached the flag to take the corner and from the Curva Sud, Milan’s hot cheering sector, the usual chorus of insults arose towards the former AC Milan player (Calhanoglu, son of a p…. ). The number 20, unperturbed, took the corner kick, drawing a perfect parable for the header of lautaro martinez, able to mock Kjaer and score the winning goal. And what happened at this point? Before running to celebrate with friends, Calhanoglu he turned to his former fans, bringing his index finger close to his nose in a gesture that silenced the insults he had just received with deeds.
It wasn’t the only episode. After the farewell to Milan in the summer of 2021, for an offer of 500 thousand euros more a year than Inter, the relationship between Calhanoglu and the Rossoneri supporters has never been idyllic. From the exultation after the penalty converted in the derby on 7 November 2021 (finished 1-1) to the teasing, even by some of his former teammates (primarily, Ibrahimovic who incited the crowd with a megaphone against the Turkish player: Send a message to Hakan…) and the rematch three weeks ago in the Italian Super Cup. When at the end of the race he revealed to Mediaset: This victory is very important, even more so for me. I’m very happy thanks to my teammates and the fans: we showed a lot today, 3-0 can’t say much. I am one who is always silent, but it was hard for me to see things that I did not expect. They must have respect. And karma comes back, today three goals and we sent them home quickly, we ate them, there’s not much to say.
