Biathlon in New Town in Moravia 2023: SP Program

Among the most successful competitors of the last year was the Frenchman Quentin Fillon Maillet, who triumphed in the sprint and the pursuit race, and among the women, the Norwegian Tiril Eckhoff unequivocally ruled. She won all four individual events and added gold from the mixed relay.

Of the Czech representatives, Markéta Davidová placed the most in the second pursuit race, when she finished in 6th place. As part of the event, the last start and farewell to the career of Olympic medalist Ondřej Moravec took place.

Program of the 7th part of SP – New Town in Moravia

Fans will be able to see biathlon in action as early as Thursday, March 2 at 4:10 p.m., when the men’s sprint will be held. The shortest track will be waiting for the women at the same time the following day. In the Saturday program, the men will start again in the pursuit race, the women will start the track about two hours later. Sunday will then belong first to the mixed relays and then to the mixed doubles relays.

The last time the world biathlon was presented in the country was in March 2021. The season complicated by the coronavirus pandemic even brought Nové Město na Moravě two parts of the world cup in a row. However, both had to take place without the presence of spectators.

Nomination of the Czech team

Currently, the official nomination for the 7th episode of SP is not known. However, it can be assumed that the same names will be counted as at the recent World Cup. The injured Jessica Jislová could also return to the game. We will update the information.

Season tickets covering entry to the entire program can be purchased from the price of CZK 1,200, the upper limit in the VIP sector is CZK 15,000. One-day tickets are then available at the lower hundreds of crowns.
