Bertrand is unlikely to return before the NBA All-Star break

Due to a strained calf muscle, Bertan did not finish the match on Thursday, in which the “Mavericks” beat the New Orleans “Pelicans” 111:106 at home.

“He probably won’t play until the All-Star break. And after the break is over, we’ll see what the situation is,” Kidd said.

Thus, Bertans is expected to miss at least seven matches in a row. The first game after the break for the “Mavericks” team will be on February 23 at home against the San Antonio “Spurs” that Bertan used to represent.

Bertans averaged 4.1 points and 0.9 rebounds in 11 minutes in 34 games this season. The Latvian made long throws with 38.1% accuracy, which is better than in the previous three seasons.

The Dallas team, with 28 wins and 26 losses, ranks sixth in the Western Conference.
