Quebec’s Alex Belzile had an emotional game on Sunday when he helped the Canadiens beat the Oilers 6-2 thanks to his first NHL goal.

The 31-year-old winger was jubilant in the dressing room as the pressure eased after the game.

“I had to try to control myself,” he told reporters.

Further on, his young teammate both in Montreal and with the Laval Rocket, Rafaël Harvey-Pinard, was very happy for his compatriot.

“He even said, in the warm-up, that he was going to count tonight, that it was tonight that it was happening,” he revealed.
