In the history of a club, some dates are more important than others. Titles and accessions are among those rare moments that remain in the memory for a very long time. I’UST Equeurdreville (delegated municipality of Cherbourg-en-Cotentin, Manche) is no exception to this rule.
But in its pocket, it also has three national organizations for young finals: the men’s U18 elite in 2006 (with Thomas Heurtel, future international A), the girls’ U18 elite in 2010 and the men’s U18 group B in 2016. Each time, the French Basketball Federation (FFBB) praised the quality of its organization, its ability to best accommodate all these young shoots of French basketball.
No doubt it is necessary to draw on these enthusiastic reactions to explain that the usteist club was again chosen for the establishment of the “final four” reserved for the elite of the U18s. A four-way final to be held in Léon-Jouhaux, the 13 and 14 May 2023…

No one knows yet which teams will participate in this final four. The regular season will only end on 16 avril and it is only on this date that we will know more about the future qualifiers. For the time being, in the three pools concerned, Le Mans, Cholet, Gravelines, Strasbourg, Levallois-Boulogne and Asvel are the best placed. Other teams are also in ambush.
Villeurbanne in Léon-Jouhaux, the Labor leaders obviously dream of it.
We are of course thinking of Tony Parker, if his club qualifies for this final four, slips the president équeurdrevillais. We would be delighted to welcome him. We suspect that his calendar must be overloaded, but his coming would be the assurance of a big party here!
For the time being, at the UST, we are starting to get in working order.
