A new final for the two Fos brothers Toma Junior Popov and Christo Popov. Two weeks after playing the singles and doubles finals at the French Championships, the Fosséens will play tomorrow in Aire sur la Lys (62) the final of the European Mixed Team Badminton Championships with France. They will find Denmark there for a rematch of the previous edition (2021). By winning silver, the French had obtained their very first medal in this competition. But this time, at home, the Blues hope to win gold
This evening the French beat Germany 3/1 in 1/2 with in particular a victory for Toma Junior Popov (n°25 in the world) in men’s singles (against Roth, n°102, 21/13 21/13) and a success of Tomi and Christo (n°33) in doubles (against Seidel and Voelker 23/21 21/15).
Reigning champion since 2015, Denmark has dominated England 3/0. The final will take place this Saturday from 1 p.m.
