Atlanta dismisses Nate McMillan – RFJ your regional radio

Nate McMillan is no longer the coach of Atlanta. Eighth in the Eastern Conference with 29 wins against 30 losses, the Hawks have decided to clean up.

Clint Capela and his teammates will be led by assistant coach Joe Prunty pending the appointment of a new coach. Former Utah Jazz coach Quin Snyder is said to be the frontrunner in the succession race.

Named in 2021, Nate McMillan led Atlanta to the Eastern Conference Finals the same year. In 2022, Atlanta was eliminated in the first round of the play-offs by Miami. His record at the head of the Hawks is 99 wins against 80 losses.
