The sports association of Héry omnisports gathered its members, on February 4, in the room usually occupied by table tennis players. The club has five sections: table tennis, basketball, up and down, cycle tourism and badminton. They total 213 licensees.
General manager, Romain Ternand has expressed the ambition to help the basketball section to reach the highest national levels, by professionalizing certain executives. Yves Borsato, however, recalled the need to reflect on the difficulties of finding new slots in the multipurpose hall. A handicap resulting from the number of associations and the absence of a cantonal gymnasium in Seignelois. “In some municipalities, it was the creation of a gymnasium that triggered the creation or development of a basketball team,” he insisted.
Note that the 40th anniversary of the club, created in 1983, will be celebrated later.
