A Hyogo prefectural high school teacher was arrested on suspicion of threatening a female acquaintance.

Miwa Hikaru (58), a teacher at Hyogo Prefectural Tatsuno Kita High School, who was affectionately known as Mr. Yankee by his students and has appeared in the media.

Miwa served as an advisor to a strong judo school in Himeji City, and led the judo team to more than 10 victories in part-time correspondence national competitions.
