Ángel Cerrato, national medalist of Gijón’s Gandoy, dies

After a long fight against the disease, the Asturian judoka Ángel Cerrato died yesterday. The Judo Gandoy athlete was very loved by his clubmates, due to his kind and respectful character. Cerrato competed in the katame-no-kata defending the colors of Club Cajastur and the Asturian team. The bronze medals in Spanish Cups and Championships made him, together with his uke Guille Pérez, train harder every day. An architect by profession and a 4th degree black belt, he leaves an important void in the Asturian judo family.
