An offer of 3.75 billion dollars to buy Tottenham?

Iranian-American billionaire Jahm Najafi, chairman of MSP Sports Capital, is reportedly about to launch a $3.75 billion (3.5 billion euros) takeover bid for English football club Tottenham. The information was reported on Wednesday by the Financial Timesciting two sources close to the project, and confirmed by Reuters.

MSP Sports Capital is reportedly working with a consortium of investors to structure the offer and to formally approach Spurs owner Joe Lewis and football club chairman Daniel Levy, the report said.

Phoenix Suns minority investor Jahm Najafi is reportedly planning to buy Premier League fifth-placed Tottenham for around $3 billion plus $750 million. MSP and its partners would provide 70% of the purchase price, while Gulf backers, mostly from Abu Dhabi, could provide the remaining 30%.
