The Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré suspect was already the subject of the same charges in events that took place in L’Ange-Gardien, in the MRC Côte de Beaupré, in the summer of 2021.

Other potential victims

The investigation tends to show that the suspect could have had other minor victims elsewhere in Quebec. Her work as an itinerant nurse takes her to different regions of the province.

Carbonneau also used different profiles on the networks in order to get in touch with his victims, among others on Snapchat where he used the profiles “Seb Dumas” and “Seb_MMJ”

Since several victims have been identified, the serial crime investigation management structure, coordinated by the Sûreté du Québec, has been deployed.

It is a unified command structure in which Quebec police services work in partnership to quickly identify crimes committed by predators and arrest them.
