This Monday evening, Liverpool did not tremble to overcome their eternal rival, Everton. Impressive efficiency, the Reds took advantage of the achievements of Mohamed Salah and Cody Gakpo to take the three points.

But, what particularly marked the spirits, it is the tension which was present on the meadow this evening. As usual, the Mersey derby was very tense, and supporters were able to witness several tough scenes. And, at this level, the Red Devil Amadou Onana was not left out. Even if it was only the second derby against Liverpool of his young career with the Toffees, the median has obviously understood that, in this kind of meeting, you have to know how to be respected. And that’s what he did.

Indeed, between an unnecessary tackle on goalkeeper Alisson in the first period, a few fairly strong tackles throughout the meeting, a tussle with Tsimikas and an altercation with Van Dijk, Amadou Onana wanted to mark his territory this Monday evening. A proof of his fiery temper which particularly pleased Everton supporters, but which was not enough to prevent the defeat of the Toffees.
