Abodi, football did not learn from past experiences – Football

(ANSA) – MILAN, FEBRUARY 21 – “I hope that the system as a whole builds on the experiences of recent years. I don’t think it has. We need to recover our reputation which is essential for creating value, including economic value”. Thus the Minister for Sport and Youth, Andrea Abodi, on the sidelines of an event in Milan, responding to reporters on the case of capital gains in the world of football. “I hope that the decisions that will be taken will be wise, fair and balanced – he concludes – and above all we will put a point and go to the beginning having treasured the experiences”.

“What is happening is not the first opportunity for reflection – adds the minister – we have had many, I could start from 2006 but even before… evidently we have not learned and this does not concern a club but the whole system”. In any case, on the subject in recent days “they have sometimes been misunderstood and I don’t want to talk about the singles – continues Abodi – I was asked a question and I gave system answers and it seemed that the answer was on just one club”.

But “I take care of the health of the system, not alone but together with other subjects – he concludes – and as I said yesterday I hope that the system as a whole will build on the experiences of recent years”. (HANDLE).
