A host of activities to get moving during spring break

For family hockey, free practice with stick and puck or free skating, all members of the family will find what they are looking for at the Bleu Blanc Bouge skating rink.

From February 27 to March 3, the City of Joliette offers several sports activities for young and old to take full advantage of the spring break. Musical swimming, skating, family hockey, badminton or basketball, the week promises to be active thanks to the various municipal facilities.

“We are privileged to have numerous recreational infrastructures on the territory. I invite Joliettains and Joliettains to take advantage of these during school break, a perfect time to have fun! says Pierre-Luc Bellerose, mayor of Joliette.

The Center récréatif Marcel-Bonin, for example, offers several periods of public skating and family hockey, free of charge, throughout the week. The schedule is available here.

The Cégep municipal swimming pool in Joliette is also accessible. Many time slots have been added to improve the offer of open swims and lap swims, in addition to a new feature this year, the family open swim with music. For an overview of the schedule, Click here.

A great option for getting outdoors is to visit the outdoor trails of Parc Riverain, the Marie-France-Pelletier nature reserve and Parc Pierre-Charbonneau. Hours of fun can be spent there walking, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing or fatbiking.
