The Rioja Judo Federation lived an intense Saturday last weekend because in the morning a day was scheduled in the Siete Infantes de Lara school pavilion and in the afternoon in Calahorra (Teresianas).

In the morning, children and cadets were summoned to play the first day of the qualifying ranking for the Spanish School Championship with the participation of 94 judokas from all the clubs in La Rioja, who carried out some extraordinary fights. Some of these judokas are currently among the top positions in the Ranking of the Royal Spanish Judo Federation. The judokas of these categories must play at least two more ranking days to decide the selection of La Rioja.

In the afternoon, the La Rioja Judo Sports Games moved to Calahorra to the Teresianas Sports Center. The venue registered a great attendance of the public, with the stands full to encourage the judokas prebenjamines, benjamines and juveniles from the different clubs from La Rioja. Three shifts on four tatami mats arranged for the organization. The competition lasted about three and a half hours with a total of 84 prebenjamines, 94 benjamines and 79 fry; to which must be added the 10 coaches, 12 referees and 16 table judges and volunteers present in the Riojabajeño pavilion.
