As soon as a coaching position becomes available in the Admiral Bundesliga, his name will be on the shortlist. Philipp Semlic has been setting the pace on the Lafnitz sidelines for three years, leading the club from the 1,435-strong community solidly through the Admiral 2nd league.
The steps of the 39-year-old Vorauer did not go unnoticed. The name Semlic only came up a few kilometers from Lafnitz in November, but TSV Hartberg finally decided on Markus Schopp. There were other rumors in Ried, at Admira and at GAK – and yet Semlic stayed in Lafnitz.
“I was able to try out and develop all ideas and approaches in Lafnitz,” says Semlic, expressing his thanks to the club and chairman Bernhard Loidl. But: “I’m a very ambitious coach who wants to take the next step at some point.”
