2 teams champion at Badmintonclub Holten • HoltensNieuws.nl

With 2 games to play, the first team of BCH was already champion. On Monday, February 6, they confirmed this once again in the match against the Lochem team with a 5-3 victory. In the away match at Lochem, only the points in the men’s doubles, the 2nd women’s singles and the 2nd mixed doubles were for Lochem.

The team with Harold Konijnenbelt, Pieter Aarsen, Rolph Rikkering, Jeroen van Keulen, Gea Stam and Lidy Kuiper have had a very good season with 76 points from 13 games, of which 12 were won and 1 tied.

On June 17, the preliminary rounds for the Dutch Championships will take place and then on to the preparations for a new season in the fifth division.

If there are players who want to join the competition or want to play recreationally, we will be in Sporthal ‘t Mossink on Mondays and Wednesdays and you are more than welcome to play along.

BCH 2 – Kwik 2

On Monday evening, the team from Holten could become champions, but that was easier said than done. The men’s doubles of Youri Hissink and Robin Willems turned out to be more difficult than expected, as was the women’s doubles of Annet Dijkstra and Yvonne Beuker. The 2 points went to the Raaltenaren.

Youri faced a strong king and had to do 3 sets to get a profit point. This made it easier for Annet to build in peace and scored the point gloriously. The score was now 2-2.

Yvonne and Robin couldn’t win any points in the singles matches.

Standings 2 – 4.

The mixed doubles had to be the deciding factor. Yvonne and Youri and Annet and Robin still needed 3 sets to close to a positive end. Final result 4 – 4.

The fact that this competition match needed 5 three-setters says enough about the strength of both teams.

Final result; 4 – 4. The champagne could be uncorked!

The last game at home next week, but the team is already in a luxury position. Throughout the season, no game has been lost and only 2 games have been drawn.
