Yadier Molina open to direct Navegantes again

The Navegantes del Magallanes could not fulfill their dream of advancing to the final of the LVBP after being eliminated from the Round Robin.

The team lost 1-0 against Cardenales de Lara in an interesting pitching game. However, manager Yadier Molina was pleased with their performance this season.

The Puerto Rican offered his balance to the Turks’ press team after concluding the game, in which he spoke about the performance they had and the growth they registered as the games passed.

«It was a super good experience, I really enjoyed it. Obviously with ups and downs, baseball is like that, but the team was always united. We fought hard but it was not given to us, it was not our year, “he said.

“Honestly, we were inconsistent on both sides. In some games we hit, in others we didn’t. In some games we pitched well, in others we didn’t. That’s why we play .500 or just above. It’s difficult when you don’t have consistency, but the effort of the boys was there every day. It’s part of baseball, sometimes the result doesn’t go your way,” added Molina.

The Puerto Rican manager also praised the high level of the Venezuelan league and the great warmth provided by the fans in each of the duels.

«Good quality, good baseball. The teams are well reinforced, some with 7 or 8 major leagues. Good pitching. The fans supported well. I loved coming here, a good experience that I will always remember”, he expressed.

To conclude, Molina was open to the possibility of directing Navegantes del Magallanes again, claiming that it was a great experience for his career.

“Why not? Obviously we are open. We are going to see if it happens, with a little more experience, and we hope that next year that 0-12 will be 12-0 », he concluded.
