Voting has begun for the most beloved Latvian hockey star of all time

Everyone is invited to vote for their favorite hockey star, choosing one of the 130 hockey players who have played in one of the Latvian national hockey teams in the period from 1992 to 2022.

Voting takes place from January 23 to January 30, in order to find out at the beginning of February who, according to the Latvian population, are the brightest and most popular Latvian hockey stars of all time.

“We are happy about such an initiative, where, in preparation for the IIHF World Hockey Championship, we can together honor the Latvian hockey players who have brought the name of Latvia to the world. We invite hockey fans to honor the all-time favorite hockey players of the Latvian national team by voting for their favorite,” invites the head of the organizing committee of the world championship Edgars Buncis in Riga.

This year, the World Championship will take place from May 12 to 28.
