With Karim Onisiwo (Mainz), Michael Gregoritsch and Philipp Lienhart (both Freiburg), three Austrian team players made it into the eleven of the day of the specialist magazine “kicker” in the 18th round of the German Bundesliga.
Onisiwo was involved in all five goals in Mainz’s 5-2 win over Bochum with three goals, one assist and the opening of the opening goal, receiving the top score of 1.0 and being voted player of the day.
“Power and sensitivity in the end”
“Karim Onisiwo scored three goals himself and played a key role in the other two. In addition to his ability to assert himself, he also demonstrated power and sensitivity in the end,” judged the “kicker”.
The two Freiburgers Gregoritsch and Lienhart each scored a goal in the 3-1 home win against Augsburg and were each praised with a grade of 1.5. Gregoritsch was selected for the team of the round for the third time this season, Lienhart was nominated for the second time.
