The stars are within reach. Stanek transfers to the Formula 1 preparation

The Czech pilot was already active in the Trident team last season in Formula 3, in which he finished in 5th place overall and was on the podium four times. He won the race in Imola, Italy, finished second in Barcelona, ​​Spain and repeated the same position in the sprint and in the main race in Spa, Belgium.

Giacomo Ricci is the manager of the Trident team in Formula 2, as in Formula 3, which also played a big role in the continued cooperation with this team. The Czech racer’s teammate will be the Frenchman Clément Novalak, who already raced in Formula 2 last year for the MP Motorsport team.

The still 18-year-old Staněk already completed successful Formula 2 post-season tests in Abu Dhabi with Trident in November 2022, and further testing awaits him on the 14th-16th. February in Sahir, Bahrain.

At the same place – just one month later – Staněk will also see his racing premiere in Formula 2. The fourteen-part series starts in Bahrain together with Formula 1 on March 17, and every weekend has Friday’s qualifying, Saturday’s low-scoring sprint from the reverse grid and Sunday’s main race.
