The provincial racing circuits end 2022 with their awards ceremony | NewAlcarria

The Guadalajara Provincial Council held this Thursday the awards ceremony for the winners of the Provincial Circuits of Mountain Races and Popular Races 2022. The president of the Guadalajara Provincial Council, José Luis Vega Pérez, was in charge of presiding the act and deliver the awards to the 36 best overall riders in the different categories of the two competitions that were held.

The 2022 calendar toured 19 municipalities to which Vega wanted to thank for the joint work in organizing the different races that “are not only an opportunity to enjoy the sport, but are also an opportunity to create economy in our towns, because in each race there are hundreds of participants who are accompanied by friends and family who consume in their businesses”.

For this reason, the president of the Provincial Council has highlighted the importance of holding these provincial circuits and the commitment of the Provincial Institution to continue improving each year. “For this year we have news, we want to improve the image of the competitions and that is why we have renovated the structures of the races, with new arches, podiums, tarpaulins and tents.”

During his speech, he also had words of gratitude for the “La Esperanza” Athletics Club, with which the Guadalajara Provincial Council has a €15,000 collaboration agreement for the organization and development of the Mountain and Popular Race Circuits.

Every year, the number of participants in these carts breaks records. In the 2022 edition, 1,500 numbers were reached, figures that guarantee the success of these competitions that the Guadalajara Provincial Council tries to take to all corners of the province through all its circuits: chess, fencing, badminton, rhythmic gymnastics, canicross, popular races, mountain race, MTB and inter-village swimming.
