BOLASPORT.COM – The 1973 Persebaya Surabaya vs Persikabo match at the Joko Samudro Stadium, Gresik, Saturday (1/14/2023) is confirmed to be canceled.
This certainty was obtained after a management coordination meeting and the East Java League 1 club committee held which was held at the East Java Regional Police Headquarters, Wednesday (11/1/2023) morning.
The meeting chaired by the East Java Deputy Police Chief, Brigadier General Slamet HS, resulted in a decision that there would be no matches in the East Java region for January 14, 2023.
The results of the meeting also made the Persik Kediri match against Persita Tangerang which was held on the same day also cancelled.
The head of the Persebaya Surabaya Organizing Committee, Ram Surahman, revealed that the cancellation was due to the duration of the application for a permit not according to police regulations, namely at least 14 days before the match.
“The result of the coordination meeting was like that. The Persebaya vs Persikabo match has no permission. The reason is that the management period is not in accordance with Perpol 10/2022,” said Ram BolaSport.com from East Java Tribune.
“Minimum processing of permits is 14 days,” he continued.
Ram Surahman has argued that the delay in obtaining permits was not solely the club’s fault.
This is because the official Liga 1 schedule received from PT Liga Indonesia Baru as the new competition operator was received on January 2, 2023.
