The sports promotion campaign launched by the Department of Sport of the Municipality of Paceco continues: following a survey of the facilities in schools, the sports equipment park has been completed with the purchase of all the necessary material, including baskets, balls, witnesses for the relay, benches, ropes, rings, pins, rackets, volleyball nets, badminton goals, mats and much more; in addition, two high chairs were purchased for referees to be placed on the municipal tennis courts.
This was communicated by the mayor, Giuseppe Scarcella and the councilor for sport, Michele Ingardia.
“The growth and development of our kids also passes through sport; – underlines the mayor – which is why we have planned the purchase of sports equipment to be dedicated to schools, so that young people can perform all the disciplines in the best and most complete way “.
“After the hoops placed in the municipal park and in the Legality Garden, and the mattresses for high jump practice purchased last year, with the funds from the 2022 budget we aimed to complete the equipment for schools and municipal tennis courts – adds councilor Michele Ingardia – and I believe that the procedure for supporting and enhancing sport can now be considered structural and will also continue in future years; the Department of Sport will continue to commit itself to the realization of what is necessary to promote and bring the sport of Paceco to high levels”.
Finally, the mayor and councilor express their thanks “… to the entire City Council which, with the approval of the budget, allowed the funds allocated by the Administration to be used; to the technicians of the fourth sector who supervised the purchase procedure with professionalism; to the head teacher Barbara Mineo and to the teachers Giovanna Pellegrino and Maria Caruso for their collaboration and support”.
