Hornets tie NBA record, humiliate Bucks
– What a great night for the Hornets. Usually on the wrong side of history, Steve Clifford’s players put their names in the record books by slamming 51 points in the first quarter against the Bucks on Friday night. 51 points is quite simply an NBA record equaled. It was in the wake of this thunderous start to the meeting that they ended up correcting the 2021 NBA champions on their floor, in Milwaukee. Terry Rozier scored 39 points. LaMelo Ball 24, with 12 assists.
Giannis Antetokounmpo finished with 9 small points in 22 minutes. His lowest total this season. Although this is only the regular season, the Bucks still show not always reassuring flaws for several weeks.
– It’s not a party for the Trail Blazers. The Oregon franchise lost for the seventh time in the last ten games. Damian Lillard (19 points to 7 of 24 on shots) lost against the Pacers, being notably dominated by the opposing defense in the last quarter. Indiana held Portland to 17 points in the final 12 minutes while letting Tyrese Haliburton take control of the game on offense. The point guard finished with 15 points and 12 assists. Myles Turner added 17 points.
LeBron James leads Lakers to fourth straight win
– Back after missing the last game because he was sick, LeBron James indeed seemed to be in good shape again. His 25 points and 10 assists led Los Angeles to a fourth straight win. The Lakers beat the Hawks, with a Russell Westbrook close to the triple-double (18 points, 11 rebounds, 9 assists).
– Fourth straight victory also for the Knicks. The Manhattan team is definitely heading east. Like almost every evening, she relied on Julius Randle and Jalen Brunson to seek new success, this time against the Raptors. – Difficult to compete with the Bulls when Zach LaVine is so efficient. The Chicago All-Star guard planted 11 of 13 three-point attempts last night. He scored 41 points overall and Chicago beat Philadelphia in Joel Embiid’s absence. The Bulls, who have been getting better and better for a few weeks, have surfed on this performance to clinch another victory. Note also the triple-double of Nikola Vucevic, author of 19 points, 18 rebounds and 10 assists.

Gros double-double pour Rudy Gobert
– This one will be good for morale. Not always successful offensively, and especially not yet well adapted to his new team, Rudy Gobert released a very solid performance during the victory of the Timberwolves against the Clippers. The French pivot finished with 25 points and 21 rebounds. A dominating game against a California team that was playing without Kawhi Leonard and Paul George. Gobert finished with 11 baskets in 15 attempts in 36 minutes. And a differential of +31.
– Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant missed 32 shots between them. But despite that, the two Nets superstars still guided their team to victory on the Pelicans floor. – Despite a good Killian Hayes, flashed to 18 points, 7 assists and 5 steals, the Pistons lost on the Spurs field. Tyus Jones was the strongman for San Antonio with 25 points. Spurs won after losing Keldon Johnson to injury.
– Bam Adebayo (21 points) and Jimmy Butler (20 points) set an example for the Heat. But it was another player, Victor Oladipo, who was Miami’s X factor against Phoenix. The former All-Star scored 26 points off the bench and Floridians won away.
