The district of Merzig-Wadern honors young people for special achievements

The district awarded children and young people for special achievements in the skate hall in Merzig.

For more than two decades, the district of Merzig-Wadern has honored talented people with a ceremony. After two cancellations due to Corona, a young talent award finally took place in December. District Administrator Daniela Schlegel-Friedrich honored children and young people for special extracurricular and school successes in sports, music, natural sciences, fine arts or politics. She was proud of the achievements of the talents at the award ceremony in the district’s own skate hall. The district administrator said: “Promoting children is always a high priority in the Merzig-Wadern district. The award winners achieved first-class results in all areas. It is therefore particularly important to us to create role models and to reward success.”
