Slovenian Aleksander Ceferin is the only candidate for the position of president of the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA), UEFA announced on Friday.

The 55-year-old Slovenian will be re-elected to the position at the UEFA congress in Lisbon in April. The biggest challenge for the Slovenian during his time in charge of UEFA has been the challenge thrown by clubs trying to create a European Super League.

Ceferin has been the president of UEFA since September 2016. Before that, from 2011, he was the head of the Slovenian Football Association (NZS).
