The Budoka Dojo is committed to young people

Installed since September at the Mituki space, the Dojo budoka is satisfied with its start to the season. The club currently has fifty-five members and has started an action with the schools of Beaucaire which will allow more than 400 children to discover judo. It is also continuing its action, begun several years ago, with the Samuel-Vincent association, where the two educators, Christophe Laporte and Jean-Christophe Grison, carry out effective action to encourage young people to open up to new activities.

The life of the club is also marked by sporting results. In minimal, Cléa Aappy won the Gard championship twice and Anna Correale finished 3rd in the same category. As the youngest, Erin Asension finished first in the Gard departmental criterium and Léo Frigerio finished 5th.

Finally, very great satisfaction for Professor Kader Boukli and President Bertrand Manonviller, the obtaining of the black belt by Mathéo Rouvière and Andry Rakotomanana. They belong to this group of ten young people trained at the club since childhood, six of whom obtained the first dan this year. As their teacher, 5th dan, reminded them, “the first dan is not an end in itself but the beginning of the study of judo”inviting them to continue practicing this sport to obtain higher grades.

These sporting successes and the increase in the number of members confirm the club in its choice to come to Beaucaire and to engage with young people. “We must seek financial partners to continue our work. We also hope that the 1,000 dojos for 2024 can be carried out in Beaucaire.”

This project, led by the judo federation, aims to set up solidarity dojos on the territory with a view to the Olympic Games and to facilitate access to the sport. It will also be possible to organize tutoring and cultural activities there.
