The Brugeletto Judo Club, royally yours!

In this year 2023, the Judo Club Center Brugeletois will receive the title of royal for its fifty years of uninterrupted existence! It is not without pride and a feeling of accomplishment that Mario presents this special moment in the life of an association. “At the beginning of 1973, people told me, after the inaugural session, that we would not last three months. They were obviously wrong… 50 years later, he has indeed pleased His Majesty the King to grant the title of royal to our club. Despite the many sticks that have been put in our way, we have managed to endure over time and to be appreciated both sportingly and humanly.ement. With an average of 80 practitioners per sports season, this represents more than 4,000 judokas who have walked on our tatami since the founding of the club. Athletes who come from more than thirty different localities! All my gratitude and thanks go to all those parents who have trusted us and continue to do so, entrusting us with their children for their sporting activity. Thanks again and recognition also to all those teenagers and adults who choose our club to practice quality judo in a warm and family atmosphere. Et words fail me to express the feelings felt towards the commune of Brugelette and its population which welcomed us warmly almost seven years ago in order to allow our club to continue to exist (Editor’s note: after more than 40 years spent in Chièvres) and to be able to celebrate today with dignity this beautiful 50th anniversary. And finally, my gratitude and my love go to my wife Raffy, who has been seconding and supporting me for thirty years! It is so proud and arrogant that I declare loud and clear, long live the Royal Judo-Club Brugeletois.”
