ALGIERS- The 2023 edition of the National Mixed/Senior Team Championship will take place on January 20, in Ghardaïa, APS learned on Sunday from the Algerian Judo Federation (FAJ).
Six weight categories have been selected for this competition, namely: -57 kg, -70 kg and +70 kg for women, as well as -73 kg, -90 kg, and +90 kg for men.
The competition will take place according to a system of elimination, with fights of four minutes, and repechages from the quarter-finals.
The official weigh-in is scheduled for Thursday, January 19, between 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m., while the draw will take place immediately after, from 6:30 p.m.
“The 1st Division clubs are directly qualified for the National. The four teams on the podium are qualified for the next African Championship of champion clubs,” the organizers said in a press release.
