The Sala Consiglio of the Town Hall hosted an exciting moment. The 2022 Under 12 Baseball Champions of Italy received from the hands of Councilor for Sport Marco Bosi a commemorative parchment of the city for the well-deserved national title conquered.
One by one, the 15 very young athletes, coaches and managers of JUNIOR PARMA BC paraded through the benches of the City Council for a catwalk that featured young talents and a sport truly experienced with passion and team spirit.
The ceremony was conducted by the new delegate to Sport of the Municipality of Parma Davide Antonelli.
The President Mario Caravita, the Vice President Carla They, together with the coaches Arrieta Pedroso Ricardo, Pia Fulvio, Artze Luis and Perracino Andrea, underlined how “this victory comes almost twenty years after the last title won by a team from the Junior Parma BC was a goal for us, but also a starting point. Let’s start from this podium to look forward with more enthusiasm and more confidence. The baseball world in Parma is growing and can count on the attention, support and closeness of the institutions as this moment demonstrates, which pushes us to do well and aim high”.
“The fact that the cadet team and the younger athletes won such an important title is even more beautiful and gratifying” commented Councilor Bosi “sport is also a training ground for growth and values. Reaching such important goals gives us hope for a tradition that continues, which will carry the name of Parma far away, but above all in a sport of our city that manages to make its boys and girls express themselves at their best and truly offer an experience of life, of socialization, of values”.
During the initiative, the athletes of the other Parmesan Baseball and Softball companies who participated in national and international events in 2022 were mentioned.
